Tirinyi Bee Keepers'. the Association was established in 2017 in Tirinyi, Kibuku District, it is a registered community-based organization. Operating as a non-political and nonprofit entity, the association is deeply rooted in environmental and livelihood initiatives. It focuses on elevating the income levels of vulnerable community members engaged in agriculture, particularly those involved in apiculture and tree planting as sustainable businesses.

EXPECTED IMPACT OF THE OUR SUCCESSACTION AFTER 3 YEARS

If successfully implemented, it is expected that this action will contribute to empowered
capacity of the CSOs in the district in Eastern Sub-Region by 2027. More specifically,
this action is expected to lead to increased farmers’ incomes and welfare, production levels of the bee products, enhanced environment and ecosystems. This will help to address
the challenge of citizens’ apathy and the general withdrawal of citizens from productive
activities.

With ambitious goals on the horizon, we aim to expand to 500 bee hives within the 3yrs, anticipating a remarkable increase in honey production. Our target of producing
10,000 liters of honey in every six-month term aligns with a broader vision to achieve an annual production plan of 20,000 liters per year. These milestones reflect not just numerical achievements but our unwavering dedication to economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, and fostering a thriving beekeeping community.
